Talk to the wrist...

You wait all your life for a watchphone and then two come along at once. The Samsung S9110 is the Korean company’s rival to the much-hyped LG watch phone, and it looks set to be cheaper and thinner than LG’s offering.

The Samsung S9110 has been described as “the world’s thinnest touchscreen watch phone” which isn’t saying much when there are only two tangible efforts. But still, it’s heading to France this month, so hopefully we’ll be getting it soon, with a price tag of €450 or around £390 in good old Sterling. That’s a hefty drop from the £1,000 LG is selling its watch phonefor from August.

Spec-wise the Samsung S9110 measures a mere 11.98mm thick, which is good, because any thicker and you’ll need wrists the size of Popeye’s forearms to carry it. Elsewhere, it boasts a touchscreen, an MP3 player, Bluetooth 2.1, a speakerphone, voice-recognition and the ability to sync with Outlook.

No word on a UK launch for the Samsung S9110 as of yet, but as soon as we hear when the Samsung S9110 is set to take on the LG watch phone over here we’ll let you know. It’s set to be the biggest wrist smackdown since Sly Stallone arm-wrestling classic Over The Top!
